Yamnuska Mountain Adventures (YMA) is committed to promoting Canada's Rocky Mountains as a four-season holiday destination. Yamnuska offers a unique opportunity to discover the landscape, nature and culture of the Rockies.

YMA is a member of Travel Alberta, Tourism Canmore, Banff-Lake Louise Tourism Bureau, as well as trade affiliations with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, the Canadian Avalanche Association, Alpine Club of Canada, and the Mountain Parks Heritage Interpretation Association.

YMA holds guiding permits and insurance for the following areas:

  • Yoho National Park

  • Kootenay National Park

  • Jasper National Park

  • Kluane National Park

  • Mount Robson Provincial Park

  • Kananaskis Country, Alberta Parks (including Bow Valley & Peter Lougheed)

  • Elk Lakes Provincial Park

  • Bugaboos Provincial Park

YMA provides:

  • Custom tour and corporate trips and packages

  • Custom courses and training

  • Walk-on / contract guide services

  • Commission rates for package sales

MEDIA

Yamnuska Mountain Adventures has worked with a variety of media outlets for print, radio, film, and television articles and stories including the Weather Network, Time Magazine, Let's Go Outdoors, The Globe & Mail, and Explore Magazine to name a few.  Subject matter includes rock, ice, and mountain climbing, hiking, backcountry emergencies & survival, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, and avalanche safety.

High resolution photographs are also available for most subject matter.

Media often participate in a variety of our scheduled programs.
