Ice Climbing Season Starts!!!
November 13th, 2008 by David
This past week has seen our first ice climbing of the year. All climbs so far have been up in Kananaskis Country where we’ve had guided ascents of Ranger Falls and R&D. On Tuesday Grant Meekins ran an intro ice day at King Creek for our Canadian Mountain Skills Semester group. While ice in the lower Bow Valley is not fully formed, the ice is forming well in areas such as the Columbia Icefields.
Our regular ice climbing courses start in early December. While the Basic Ice and Ice Evolution have limited space left, there’s more space on the later dates. In the meantime our guides are available for private guided climbs to fit your schedule.
